Hanoi Backpackers Hostel

I have always wanted to back pack in few countries and YES! I did it! This time around, I went to Hanoi, Hua Hin and Bangkok for 10 days. As this trip is a budget trip, thus my friends and I decided to stay in a Backpackers Hostel in Hanoi. I have read few reviews regarding to that particular hostel and I just gave it a try. There are 3 Backpackers Hostel in Hanoi. The "Orignial" and the "Downtown" hostel is situated in Hanoi and the "Imperial" is at Hue. Rooms available including "Mixed Dorm", "Female Dorm", "Male Dorm", "Private Room" and "Queen Size Dorm Bed".  I stayed in the Female Dorm in the "Original" Hostel throughout my 4 nights stay. Staying in the downtown area was quite an advantage to us travelling around the city. It is easy to access to food, historical sides and buildings etc. The price is affordable and cheap which only cost me for one night 7USD inclusive breakfast and free wifi. Below are the photos which will help you to get a better picture of the hostel.

The registration counter

the dining and hang out area

the rooftop bar which is at the top of the building. They have free drinks from a certain time of certain days. a nice place to chill and to talk to other backpackers.

the female dorm. each dorm will have its own washroom and bathroom. this room can accommodate 10 people.

After staying for four nights in this hostel, I therefore rate them accordingly: (poor, average, good, excellent)

1. Hygiene - good
2. Food - average
3. Location of the hostel - Excellent
4. Staff - poor
5. Facilities - good

The staff is not as friendly as I thought they are. Well, maybe they are friendly towards the other foreigners but I personally do not think they are friendly towards us, the Asians particularly. Otherwise, the facilities including the internet wifi, four desktops for the backpackers, water dispenser etc are well.
